This year the Competition will consist of 4 regional heats (Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch) and a grand final (Christchurch). Regional Heats will consist of 4 Levels. The winner from each section in the regional heats will go through to the final. We will be offering an additional place in the final for the best overall performance of the night at each heat, this will be chosen by the judges on which performance they enjoyed the most, so make them fun no matter what level.
Entries will be accepted up to the day before a heat however we can only fit up to 30 competitors into a single heat, first in first served! Anyone can enter any heat and remember, if you miss out on your first heat, feel free to try again in another one!
Contestants at all heats will perform on a single, 45mm, x-stage lite pole. It is up to the competitor whether they have the pole on static or spinner. The finals will be performed on two fixed, 45mm poles. One will be set to spinning, the other set to static. It is up to the competitor whether they only use one pole or change their routine to incorporate both, no points will be deducted for not using both poles.
All entrants for a singles category are required to pay a $35 entry fee when submitting their application forms. Applications will only be accepted when application forms are completed fully along with their entry fee. If you cancel your place for any reason or do not show up to your heat then NZAPP will retain your entry fee to cover administration costs.
